Hi, I’m Jen!
Thank you so much for visiting JenPlans! I started this blog to share ideas and resources that will give you tools to accomplish your goals – big and small. I’m a big believer in finding ideas that inspire you and making them work in your own life, and that will be a big focus here. The connection between planning and doing is where a lot of people struggle and I hope this will be a place where you will be inspired to turn your ideas into action in a way that works best for YOU!
I grew up in the Chicago suburbs, where I went to college for business and economics, and then earned my MBA with a focus in leadership studies. I worked for many years at a private college in student affairs. My husband and I have been married since 2005, and we have three children. We relocated to Metro Atlanta in 2014 for my husband’s career, and after years of staying home with our kids, I went back to work as a project manager for a consulting company. I am SO excited to have this blog as a space to document my journey trying to keep it all together.
I’ve always been a planner, but being stretched so thin in recent years, I decided that I had to really leverage what I learned from others and make things work for my family in a way that was efficient and easy. Everything from managing my family’s schedule to meals to finances to health and fitness – there’s so much great information out there that I don’t have to reinvent the wheel. I can just learn the basics and then tweak them to fit my life. Over the last few years, people in my life have asked me to share how I manage everything and so this blog was born out of those requests. I am so grateful for the support I’ve received from my family and really hope this can be a helpful place for people!
Thank you for joining me!
